Must Haves: CHA 2012

Refresh. Almost every time I refresh my Two Peas in a Bucket or Simon Says Stamp website, something new from CHA 2012 is posted. Ok…I’m exaggerating. But seriously, there’s new product every other day! I think I have a problem! What are you liking so far? 2Ps is great at posting up previews of upcoming products during the week of CHA. It gives you something to look forward to. Then again, nothing is ever disappointing!

I am absolutely in love with Chevron! It makes a great background to any card or scrapbook page. Lawn Fawn makes a a great Chevron Backdrop Clear Stamp. You get three different Chevron designs. We can’t leave out Hero Arts! They have two different stamp sets that I like. The first one is the Zig Zag Thanks Cling Stamp. Cling stamps are great. They take up less space in storage and they’re rubber! What’s great about this stamp set is that you also get a sentiment with it. If you look clearly, the Chevron pattern has a slight design to it. My all time favorite would have to be the Zig Zag Cling Stamp. This covers your standard size card perfectly. In addition to background stamps, many companies released 12×12 patterned papers in Chevron.

We can’t forget Washi Tape!!! Love it!! You don’t just use it for cards! Replace your clear tape with your favorite Washi tape! I love using this when wrapping gifts with kraft wrapping paper. Or using it to tape something on the wall. It definitely makes a statement. Many companies are now making them! 2Ps recently started carrying a line of Washi tapes by Love My Tapes. They are great starter tapes that are sold individually. Sweet Bella also carry a good variety. Bazzill Basics Paper, American Crafts (Amy Tangerine), and Studio Calico also released some!

6×6 pads. Enough said. Almost every company is doing it. They are perfect for card makers. My go-to 6×6 pads would have to be from My Minds Eye, Crate Paper, Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Echo Park, and Authentique. Most companies are doing it now. I saw the first one from American Crafts this month for their Neopolitan collection. Bazzill Basics Paper and Heidi Swapp released a few this month.

Airmail. This seems to be a popular theme this season. Travel theme comes along with it. Studio Calico released an Airmail stamp set this month that’s great for those who travel a lot. Lawn Fawn released You’ve Got Mail .

Project Life by Becky Higgins. This has been very popular in the scrapbooking world. I enjoy scrapbooking, but I must admit that sometimes it’s very time consuming. Then there are times when you just want to throw everything on one page. Becky offers a solution to this. Project Life is a scrapbooking system made simple. Simply pick out your photos, a few embellishments or memorabilia, pre-designed title cards or journaling cards and slip them in to the Photo Pocket Pages. There are many different Photo Pocket Pages that she offers. Creative Memories offers a similar product in their Picfolio line. American Crafts and We R Memory Keepers make the photo sleeves too. Most of these photo sleeves and pocket pages can be used with an 8.5″x11″ or 12×12 binder.
